  • Mitosis: Essentials of mitosis, Mitotic apparatus, its structure and chemistry, Mitotic phases, Cytokinesis, Mitotic blockage and stimulation of cell division, significance of Mitosis.
  • Meiosis: Stages, synaptonemal complex, crossing over and chiasm a formation, significance of Meiosis.
  • Cell senescence and cell Death (APOPTOSIS): Death of specified cell, programmed cell death, mechanism of cell death and significance.   
      Practical-I (video experiment)
